Successful Launching Conference held in Sevnica, Slovenia

On March 25th, the picturesque town of Sevnica hosted the highly anticipated Launching conference of NextGen project, marking the official launch of the Erasmus+ project NextGen – Digitalization in sport organisations. Representatives from partner organizations, including DSR SUPERKID (Croatia), SD Partizan Sevnica (Slovenia), Gymnastic Federation of Sibenik-Knin County (Croatia), and Women’s Football Club Sloga Zemun (Serbia) were present at this significant event.

The conference kicked off with a warm welcome from the host organization, SD Partizan Sevnica, followed by a thorough presentation of the project, its objectives, and planned activities. Each partner organization was introduced, with a focus on their roles and responsibilities within the project.

One of the main highlights of the meeting was the guided tour of the host organization’s facility, which allowed participants to gain insights into the local sports culture and infrastructure. The exchange of knowledge, skills, and practical experiences in the field of digitalization in sports proved invaluable for all attendees, fostering a cooperative and supportive atmosphere.

During the meeting, participants completed a digital SWOT analysis questionnaire, focusing on their organization’s digital competences. This exercise helped identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, providing a solid foundation for the development of tailored strategies to address the specific needs of each organization.

An essential part of the conference was the discussion on establishing partnerships with IT organizations, paving the way for the next project activity. Collaboration with these tech-savvy entities is expected to enhance digital competence within the sports sector and maximize the project’s impact.

As the event concluded, participants expressed their satisfaction with the meetings organization and the relevance of the information shared. The project partners will continue with active communication through email and video conferences, ensuring the smooth progression of the project.

An evaluation form was shared with attendees shortly after the meeting, allowing them to provide feedback on various aspects of the event, such as logistics, quality of presentations, and relevance of information. The insights gained from these evaluations will be invaluable in organizing future events and ensuring continuous improvement.
