Final Conference of the Erasmus+ NextGEN Project: Digitalization in Sports Organizations

Over the past two years, we have worked on modernizing and optimizing sports organizations through digital solutions, aiming to improve their operations and increase efficiency.

The project’s final conference was held in Zagreb on September 23rd, at public square as part of the opening ceremony for the European Week of Sport. During this important event, one of the project’s key outcomes was presented – the Digital Handbook (Good Practice E-book).

The Digital Handbook is a comprehensive guide that compiles the best digital solutions implemented by sports organizations in collaboration with IT experts throughout the project. Its goal is to help sports clubs optimize administrative tasks, improve online communication, and enhance marketing effectiveness. The handbook will be freely available on the project’s official website for all sports organizations looking to upgrade their operations.

The conference was attended by numerous representatives from the sports sector, including members of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, representatives from several sports clubs, and successful Croatian athletes, such as our Olympic gymnast Tin Srbić. All attendees had the opportunity to learn about the project’s achievements, discuss the future of digitalization in sports, and explore how digital tools can be applied in the everyday operations of sports organizations.

A week after the conference, on Saturday, September 28th, a final meeting was held with project partners. The meeting focused on reviewing the results of two years of work, promoting the Good Practice E-book, and discussing potential future project initiatives. The partners agreed that significant results had been achieved and that there is great potential for further development of digitalization in sports organizations across Europe.

The Good Practice E-book is available for free on this website, and we invite all sports organizations to take advantage of this valuable tool for digitalization.

We will continue promoting digitalization in sports, and we look forward to future collaborations with local and international partners. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the project and supported us over the past two years, with special thanks to our partners and all those who attended the final conference and meeting.
